Location: Remote with expected work hours to be a set schedule between 7am - 7pm Central
Daily Responsibilities:
- Accepting and processing assigned 835 batches
- Correcting remittance errors within 835 batches
- Posting Self-Pay remittances to Guarantor/Patient accounts
- Manually post EOBs from EFT and paper checks along with denials and all other pertinent follow up information
- Closes each batch by verifying all payments have been entered and control totals match
- Understand insurance Recoupments and post according to 835 or paper check EOB with correct payment codes
- Post unidentified payments to correct account
- Research unidentified payments
- Work unmatched 835’s (includes missing payments)
- Works any items assigned by Lead and Manager
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience reading EOBs
- At least 1 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience
- Have knowledge of Primary, Secondary, and tertiary insurances
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral, with people from diverse backgrounds, while providing outstanding customer service
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to quickly adapt to and proficiently navigate diverse software applications required to manage assigned tasks
- Ability to exercise independent judgement when needed
- Detail oriented with time management and analytical skills
- Be a self-starter and quick learner
- Work well independently and as a team
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
