Summary Description:
The HR Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the HR activities, projects, and staff. In addition to addressing employee relations and engagement and performance management strategies, the HR Director will also ensure legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and values into all projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Assist with hiring and training new HR staff in the department
  • Oversee the daily workflow of designated tasks for the department
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • May handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to HR initiatives, employee relations, and retention
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and manage employee surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs
  • Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and workforce planning, recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's HRIS or talent management system
  • Monitor and assist with the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices in addition to reviewing and modifying policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law so as to apply this knowledge in communicating changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
Skills and Education:    
Applicant must submit a full CV or resume and answer all questions accurately to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of human resources management experience
  • 2+ years of director-level HR experience
  • 3+ years of healthcare HR experience
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience supporting organizational change, workforce transformation, or scaling initiatives
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development
  • Experience with post-merger integration strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting workforce strategies that include offshoring or global delivery models preferred
  • Strong judgment and adaptability when policies, processes, or structures are still being defined
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Located in Houston, TX strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and skills (e.g., PivotTable, VLOOKUP) strongly preferred
